Brenton Benware - "The Sequel"

Guess what, we bought a sweet, new car!

Actually, Brenton took me on a date with him last week. We ended up at the Honda Dealer in town, and the first thing I noticed was that the car we'd been looking at was missing. I expressed my thoughts to the Bud and he continued to walk me inside where the saleman handed me the keys to our new car! We've been living it up in our new dark gray '04 Honda Accord. You know the late night drives to the local gas station while listening to jazz.

All to say, Brenton always keeps our relationship fresh by being so thoughtful.

Loving you still Bud!!!

- His desire to respect everyone
- His wonderful family
- His willingness to serve me anytime
- His forgiving side
- His playful side and smiles
- His loyalty
- His desire to be a leader and minister at all times (Another favorite)
- How he takes initiative and he's decisive
- How he lets things role off his back
- His integrity (Vital)
- How he's a man of his word and always follows through
- How he's goal oriented
- His faithfulness
- For loving me and treating me so well

This is just the start; maybe I'll make a part II some day!

This post was simply to make me smile. I was enjoying looking back on a number of past memories that made my night. We look forward to enjoying another year with friends and family!

These next few weeks are going to be pretty busy as students move back in and we begin to prepare our leaders. It may be a while before we post again.

Every Girl's Dream Job

So a few of you have heard me say that I have every girl's dream job. There are some late hours and phone calls that might lead me to believe otherwise. Yet, when you start talking shopping, that's a whole different story. Brenton always jokes that sales are an excuse for a girl to shop; I have to agree that he is often right. However, in my case, I am required to do just that!

A portion of this year's capital budget was allotted for me to redo the last two female lobbies on OWU's campus. Of course, the fun will come to an end soon, since all the girls' lobbies will be redone after this year. It has been a fun journey though...Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Furniture orders and painting. One of the most enjoyable parts of this adventure was painting a few canvases. The lobbies will be done in chocolate brown and a light turquoise. Sorry the lobbies are not complete or I'd post those pictures. You can at least get the idea from the canvas paintings.

And sorry to you guys; I know this was an email for the girls!

God Alone

This has been a very tiring week. I believe the Lord is wanting to grow us, though again, it is not always easy. Come Saturday, I (Kelly) felt so empty that I took a good four hour nap and spent some time with the Lord. I have felt a little stagnant in this area for a little while and truly believe the Lord needed to, once again, bring me to a point of complete dependence on Him. While it's embarrassing to admit my weaknesses, I am thankful that the Lord is growing and stretching me. Most recently, the Lord encouraged me with following passage...

"She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
she speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue."

Proverbs 31:25-26

While this passage is on becoming a wife of noble character, this passage has taken on a great deal more meaning to me. I do desire to be a wife of noble character; yet I hope this is evident in more areas than just my relationship with Brenton. At this time, I would love your support through prayers, especially that of the passage above.

Brenton and I love you guys so much!
