"When you discipline yourself to do what is hard, you gain access to a realm of results that are denied everyone else. The willingness to do what is difficult is like having a key to a special private treasure room." Steve Pavlina
I presented a devotional on hardwork to a few different groups of girls this past week, the RAs (Resident's Assitants) and the OWU Women's Basketball Team. The quote above continues to stand out in my mind.
Steve Pavlina goes on to say that "hardwork" is universal in any industry. Whether or not we are christians, there is a gift in hardwork. Yet, as christians, should we not want to strive for a life above reproach all the more? God challenges us to work hard and put forth our best effort many times in His Word.
I do not know Pavlina's belief system, although his focus seemed more directed toward worldly success. All I can say is how sad that often the world, possibly a man who creates PC games, understands the blessing of hardwork better than I do, a follower of Christ.

Hardwork??...isn't that when you have a new puppy that you're trying to potty-train and keep quiet all night???!!?? Hope all is well with the 3 of you. We miss you. Claudia
i agree with Claudia! Outside of that, so true. I would also like to share that this why Barney will share a special place in each of the Dongell's hearts. Because of all your hard work put into his memory book, life, and funeral in our back yard! :) love you sis and really enjoyed the thoughts!
