Mall Cop Review
If you are looking for a pretty clean, light-hearted date night, Mall Cop is the movie to see. It will keep you chuckling, though not roaring. When I say it is funny, remember it is kind of meant to be a kids movie (though I would not take young kids if I had them). The cheeseball humor is pretty cute.
What is even more adorable is a sweet little family sitting infront of you with a kiddie who sounds like your nephew, Hudson. Husdon's little imitation kept sporting a genuinely delighted and uncontrolable laugh; like when a little boy is trying to keep from showing he is interested but can not keep from holding it in a second longer.
Enjoy your next date night and the Mall Cop.

Fazoli Cravings
Spaghetti, pizza, cheese...I know cheese is a weird craving, but I love it. Brenton and I both have been saying for a while how Fazoli's sounds so good. With our new GPS we thought, "Why not make a random trip to Fazoli's."
It was a good idea until we choose the direction where Fazoli's did not really exist. We just assumed it had to be in Greeville if GPS said so. Not so! Even the Greenville locals said, "No, we're not familiar with any Fazoli's 'round here."
That is not quite what one wants to hear after driving an hour and a half while starving, and with a craving on mind. So we picked up a "Hot-N-Ready" Little Caesar pizza to eat on our way home. The cheese pizza was one of Little Caesar's bests and not just because we were starved. It just was.
Yet another fun, random adventure to share in the Benware world.

A Night in Texas
We celebrated this last weekend in Texas. If you were really there, don't be offended we didn't visit. We just brought Texas to North Carolina.
After returning from a women's retreat Saturday night, I was ready to go on a date with my handsome husband. So we traveled to Texas Roadhouse (Thanks Mom and Dad for the gift card...you were the inspiration for our night!) for a good ole steak; one leather and one still bleeding.
As every weekend goes, we were debating what to do. All we knew was that we were going to have steak! The night slowly materialized into a Texas theme night, only country music allowed. That's right Jen!!! I believe the car ride started out with the tune, "I wanna be a hill billie..."
The night topped off with a western movie, Lexi in a bandana, and Brenton in his carhartt and boots. Wouldn't want it any other way.

Under Construction by Default...
Careful with the website you use for new templates; lost it all but the posts.
Forward
The following is a forward sent to me on the issue of abortion.
Some radical changes could be made in the next few months.
Thought this might help for those of you who feel as out of the loop
and uninformed as me...
Dear Friends:
If you are opposed to abortion then there is bad news on the
horizon. For those of you who do not know, the Freedom of Choice Act
(FOCA) is set to be signed if congress passes it on January 21-22 of
2009. The FOCA is the next sick chapter in the book of abortion. If
made a law then all limitations on abortion will be lifted which will
result in the following:
1) All hospitals, including Catholic hospitals will be
required to perform abortions upon request. If this happens Bishops
vow to close down all Catholic hospitals, more then 30% of all
hospitals in the United States .
2) Partial birth abortions would be legal and have no
limitations.
3) All U.S. tax payers would be funding abortions.
4) Parental notification will no longer be required.
5) The number of abortions will increase by a minimum of
100,000 annually.
Perhaps most importantly the government will now have
control in the issue of abortion. This could result in a future
amendment that would force women by law to have abortions in certain
situations (rape, down syndrome babies, etc) and could even regulate
how many children women are allowed to have.
Needless to say this information is disturbing, but sadly
true. As Christians of all denominations who are against the
needless killing of innocent children, we must stand as one. We must
stop this horrific act before it becomes a law.
The Plan :
To say a novena ( 9 days of prayer ) along with fasting
starting on January 11th. (just mark it on your calendar like an appointment) For Catholics, the prayer of choice will be
the rosary with intentions to stop the FOCA. For other Christians I
encourage you to pray your strongest prayers with the same
intentions, also for nine consecutive days. The hope is that this
will branch and blossom as to become a global effort with maximum
impact. We have very little time so we all must act fast.

Life
Store-hopping, cooking, small group, movies, winter breezes, and fires in the fireplace...that about sums it up. Our lives have gone back to the usual and we are content as ever. We are loving our rental home and are enjoying our extra time together.
...Grocery shopping has become a game, making rounds to different stores for good deals. Made a crockpot of Vegetable Beef Soup that about boiled over. Check out the bargains at a Steve & Barries going out of business; realized, after the fact, that I came home with two lefties (basically half a pair of shoes). Took our gag-gifts to small group for a belated Christmas celebration: Pepto, Backstreet cd, doo-rag, and I can't remember the rest. Ended up getting Christmas ornaments we had given as a gift to our friends, funny, funny...
The day after we returned from Christmas vacation, we spent the day out in our field playing cards and watching Lexi parade around. Sad news to us came midweek as the weather turned pretty cool. More and more we've moved our activities indoors, hence the increase in movies and cozying up near the fireplace.
Life is continuing on and we are just living in it. It's good.
Oh, oh, and how could I forget that 24 starts tonight, in less than two hours!!!
