Downwind walk

It is just as it sounds; we took a casual walk recently. The weather was brisk, the sun was out, and the nearby creek made it all too wonderful. It was too good to be true and Lexi made sure that reality hit about three times on our walk. Somehow Brenton missed all of Lexi's surprises until we hopped in the car to go.

Lexi takes the cake hands down; no sounds, no warnings, just sudden stink attacks unexpectedly crowding in. The smell is worse than any human odor I have smelt. Our little, innocent puppy has lost the cute privilege for the day, many a times! And I have decided to lead or hikes from here on out.

We have now had two flying monkeys that Lexi has loved until the day they die. The first lasted a good year and a half, probably because Lexi only knew him for half a year. The picture of "Hoover" that you see was taken last night before he lost his head. Hoovie Junior, rest in peace. Although he's probably grateful he is out of pain; if you didn't notice, the Hoover in the picture had an exploded mouth and intestines hanging outside his body.

And finally, I think one of our favorite hobbies has become dressing Lexi when the opportune moments arise, last night at bedtime for one!

Like father, like "daughter," huh?!!!! Sorry, Kel, that you have to suffer. I posted a video of Piper riding. It's short, but you'll get to see her gallop. She told grandpa Bunnel that she wanted his horse. Poor little girl has no idea she's not ever getting a 2500 lb "pony." (as she likes to call them.) Love you all lots.
